Reflect on reading habits

 In the images related to reading, we can observe several types of texts and books such as novels and newspapers. Some of them were chosen by someone else for sure, for instance the children at school, which is the most common thing when you are a kid beginning to read. Your parents, elder siblings or teachers are usually the ones who recommend you some books or comics in your childhood.

Furthermore, all the images share the feeling of being very interested and focus on the act of reading. A feeling so powerful that make you forget about everything around you. I do like the black and white picture of the woman pointing a drawing at the girl because it reminds me when my mother and I used to read together. Besides, the picture of the children at the school also reminds me the great amount of spanish books I read when I was a teen at high school.

Nowadays, I enjoy reading a lot and different genres such as novel, poetry, comic and essay in both languages (Spanish and English). My decision about the language of my readings depends on the nationality of the author. I prefer to read in the native language of the writer because I consider that there may be some details and ideas “lost in translation”.

Finally, currently I spend more time reading online or using my ebook instead of paper books and I love reading before sleeping or when I have enough time after lunch.
